Description: All conference participants will be invited to take part in rotating roundtable discussions. Each group will spend 30 minutes on each table, exploring key themes and diving deep into the requirements to counter the growing drone threat. Each roundtable will be led by a subject matter expert who will channel the discourse to deliver key takeaways.
TRACKING THE ORIGINS OF DRONES USED ON THE BATTLEFIELDS
· Where are the rebel drones / UAS manufactured?
· Understanding the proliferation and development trends of COTS UAS to better define counter-measures
· Mapping out the employment of UAS by non-state actors – acquisition and modification trends
· How are shop bought drones being converted to carry weapons?
· Working with industry to ensure that shop-bought drones are not used for malicious purposes
· The use of sophisticated UAS by Houthi Rebels in Yemen. Where are these vehicles from and how can they be stopped at source?
· How can we go about countering this threat at source?
